Today, we see a renewed interest in operational excellence and resilience as manufacturing leaders across Europe are now facing an unprecedented and accelerated pressure to achieve operational excellence to, put it simply, survive. In this context, data has become invaluable to enable the levels of operational resiliency and visibility that are essential today.

However, despite the acknowledged importance of data to run successful shop floor operations, many companies are still fighting too hard to deliver on the promises technology has made, and some have even never managed to move beyond the pilot phase. Burdened by silos and legacy systems, and overloaded by the complexity of data management, they lack the right balance between IT standardization and business relevance and struggle to drive IT / OT integration for the future of their organization.
